Early intervention is the fastest outcome for injury resolution and return to work – which is why we’ve developed our immediate intervention program as an affordable and preventative measure.
A one-off service, the immediate intervention program is actioned within 24 hours and followed by a next-day on-site visit. We provide the education and tools that empower both the worker and employer to manage the return to work process independently.
Our experienced immediate intervention consultants liaise with relevant stakeholders including the employer, insurer, injured worker, nominated treating doctor and other health professionals to facilitate a return to work within 7-10 days following injury reporting. The sole aim is to get in front of the nominated treating doctor, which will reduce workers compensation costs, the duration of injury, minimise impact on productivity and increase sustainability.
What does immediate intervention do?
It empowers small employers with large employer expertise and helps to independently manage the return to work process in-house.
Results as at 31st of December 2009:
- average duration: 10.7 days;
- 42% upgraded immediately at medical case conference;
- only 1% downgraded;
- only 28.5% needed ongoing case management; and
- 10% reducation of the return to work duration in the 26 weeks measure for medium employers.
